Pioneering Egyptian musicians Hassan Khan and Maurice Louca perform together as a duo for the first time in this exploratory evening of intense and subtle music. Weaving together the cracked harmonies of monophonic sine wavs, pentatonic fuzzed out guitar runs, percussive contact mike patterns, synthesizer work-outs and many other elements into one killer session.

Artist and musician Hassan Khan has been making adventurous music since his 90s debut in Cairo. With tabla dubb (2001) he began developing sets that offer unique takes on genres like New Shaabi in The Big One, Arabic Music in Taraban, New Music in Live Ammunition! Music for Clapping, String Quartet and Live Electronics and hip-hop in The Infinite Hip-Hop Song Live! Concert and Festival appearances include: Hamburger Bahnhof; Sonic Shaman Festival, Taipei; Contact(less) Festival, Aquila; Maerz Musik Festival, Berlin; Ruhrtriennale, Essen; Intonal Festival, Malmö; Guggenheim, NYC; Portikus, Frankfurt and The Louvre, Paris. He has composed for theater, dance, film and various ensembles. Recent major solo exhibitions include Blind Ambition a large survey at Centre Pompidou, Paris and The Keys to the Kingdom at Reina Sofia, Madrid. His latest album SUPERSTRUCTURE EP was released in 2019 by The Vinyl Factory.

Maurice Louca, an Egyptian musician and Composer who recently released his 4th studio album Saet El Hazz (Northern Spy/Sub Rosa, 2021) and a myriad of releases for bands and collaboration he is part of including the Dwarfs of East Agouza, Karkhana, Lekhfa, Alif and Bikya, over the last decade he has toured extensively in Europe, North Africa and the Arab world, as well as collaborating across different art forms, composing for Dance, Visual arts and Theatre
