Description
21.03.2026 – 10:00-16:00
Build a Chaotic Oscillator. No Soldering. Pure Sound Exploration.
Chilean sound artist and DIY synthesizer maker Corazón de Robota (Constanza Piña) brings her acclaimed experimental electronics workshop to Berlin School of Sound.
This isn’t your typical circuit-building class. This is chaos, exploration, and discovering how sound emerges from raw electronic components.
What You’ll Build: A chaotic oscillator circuit on breadboard—unpredictable, glitchy, alive. No permanent soldering, just plugging components and hearing what happens when circuits go wild.
What You’ll Learn:
- Main electronic components (resistors, capacitors, transistors, ICs)
- Schematic reading and circuit design fundamentals
- How oscillators generate sound
- Experimenting with chaos and unpredictability in audio circuits
- Breadboard prototyping techniques
- Sound as an emergent property of electronics
No experience required. Corazón teaches with patience, playfulness, and deep knowledge of both electronics and experimental sound art.

About Your Instructor: Corazón de Robota (Constanza Piña)
Chilean sound artist, visual artist, and DIY electronics educator based between Berlin and Latin America. Corazón has taught experimental electronics workshops across Europe and South America—from Fundación Telefónica in Lima to Berlin’s alternative art spaces. Her practice explores the intersection of handmade electronics, noise, and feminist approaches to technology.
Her workshops have been featured at:
- Medialab Universidad de Cuenca, Ecuador
- Fundación Telefónica, Lima, Peru
- Platohedro, Medellín, Colombia
- RE:USE Tage, Berlin
“Corazón makes electronics feel like art, not engineering. Her approach is intuitive, experimental, and empowering.” – Workshop participant, Lima
Who This Is For:
✓ Sound artists exploring new tools
✓ Musicians wanting to understand their gear
✓ Beginners intimidated by traditional electronics courses
✓ Experimenters interested in noise and chaos
✓ Anyone curious about DIY sound-making
No math, no fear, just exploration.
What Makes This Different:
Unlike traditional circuit workshops, Corazón’s approach emphasizes:
- Play over precision – circuits don’t have to be “correct” to be interesting
- Sound as art – not just technical functionality
- Feminist tech pedagogy – accessible, non-hierarchical learning
- Breadboard experimentation – change, tweak, break, rebuild in real-time
